I recently found out my friend group has been meeting up without telling me. For weeks, our group chat seemed quieter than usual, and when I scrolled through social media, I noticed photos of them at restaurants, parties, even doing things we used to all do together—without me. At first, I thought maybe it was a one-time thing or I was just reading too much into it. But the patterns became obvious. It really hurt, especially since some of them would still text me like nothing was wrong, or casually mention things that happened at these get-togethers, leaving out the fact that I wasn’t invited. I keep wondering if I did something to upset someone, but nobody’s said anything to me. I feel humiliated, rejected, and confused. I’m torn between calling them out, pretending I haven’t noticed, or drifting away quietly. Part of me wants answers, but another part is afraid that confronting them will just push them further away—or maybe reveal something even more painful. I’m aching to feel connected and valued again, but I also want to protect my dignity. What would YOU do?
