My Friends Planned a Trip Without Me—Should I Confront Them?

Category: relationships • Theme: Honesty vs Self-Protection

I recently found out that my friend group took a weekend trip together and didn’t invite me. I only realized it after seeing photos pop up on social media—pictures of all of them at the cabin we usually rent together. When I messaged one of them, she just said it was a "last minute thing." But afterwards, I overheard two of them talking about how they'd planned for weeks—and that it was 'so much easier without drama.' I feel gutted. I’ve always been the one organizing birthdays and making sure everyone stayed connected. I keep replaying things in my head, wondering what I did wrong. Was I too much, too pushy, or did I share something I shouldn't have? I feel humiliated and isolated. We’ve all been friends since college, and I thought our bond was unbreakable. A part of me wants to call them out and ask for answers. Another part is terrified of really hearing that they just don't want me around anymore. I keep going back and forth between wanting to fix things, pretending nothing’s wrong, or just slowly stepping back for my own dignity. Every option makes me anxious—I’m afraid of losing them completely, but it feels awful to stay quiet and act like nothing happened. What would YOU do?
